The meeting of the economy sector from Elbląg

The meeting of the representatives of the economy sector from Elbląg was held in Old Town Tenement Houses - in Elbląg, Poland on Tuesday the 19th January 2010. During the meeting the concept of ETP and the benefits arising from investing in the park were introduced. The assumptions of the DISKE project were also presented by Mrs Agata Prystupa, who stressed the advantages that the entrepreneurs can achieve from the project realisation.  The reasons for presenting the DISKE during the meeting was that this project is an integrated part of the ETP. Its realisation foresees conducting benchmarking study of the science and technology parks in the South Baltic Region and on that basis elaborating development strategy for ETP. Moreover the project is dedicated to knowledge exchange between science and technology parks, entrepreneurs, local authorities and academia in the co-financed region. The aim of DISKE is a common initiative of the project partners aiming at creating the platform of the technology exchange – enabling companies starting their activities in another parks, also abroad.

Another interesting presentations also took place during the meeting: the performance of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego and the presentation of the Warmia and Mazury Special Economic Zone.

In the end of the meeting five investors handed in the letters of intent , in which they stated their willingness to invest  on the area of the ETP. Among the interested entrepreneurs there are: foreign company which uses modern technologies in its production and Polish entrepreneurs of the following branches: steel constructions, furniture, metallurgic.
