The Danish government
has set itself the goal of strengthening business development throughout Denmark. The creation of Bornholm´s Growth Forum has made possible to take up this challenge for Bornholm. An OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) analysis has shown that 70% of a society´s growth can be accounted for through four sources of growth:
Human resources, Innovation, ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and Entrepreneurship.
Bornholm´s Growth Forum
has decided to base its “Business Development Strategy” specifically on these four areas of growth. Business Center Bornholm represents Bornholm Growth Forum´s further step, and it has the task of acting out the consequences of the Business Development Strategy.
Bornholm´s Growth Forum is using the concept of cluster. The cluster workgroups play an essential role in implementing the Bornholm Development Strategy.
Bornholm´s Growth Forum chairman is Lars Nørby Johansen, Danish Growth Council.
Bornholm´s Growth Forum Deputy Chairman is Mr. Bjarne Kristiansen, Mayor of Bornholm.
Business Center Bornholm General Director, Mrs. Lene Grønning, is the Enterprise Ambassador for Bornholm Regions Kommune.
